Fine-Tuning Internal Alignment: University of Oregon in Portland

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

Facilitating the work of a 14-member Planning Team, The Canoe Group designed and guided a process of research, discovery and dialogue to produce a Situational Analysis. Over 60 external and internal interviews, a review of institutional planning documents and the collection of unit baseline reports generated an overview of evolving strengths, weaknesses and lessons learned.

Partnering with Dianna Smiley, whose major donor and planned giving experience took lead on this project, The Canoe Group implemented research, data analysis, and garnered staff/Board alignment on priorities for change. We then recommended the redesign of Josephine Community Libraries, Inc.’s annual appeals strategy.
