Alzheimers’ Association of Oregon
Over five months in early 2012, The Canoe Group provided adaptive strategy planning and change management facilitation services to the Alzheimers’ Association of Oregon. The association’s new Executive Director asked The Canoe Group to facilitate senior staff planning to address unmet strategic goals and to navigate a redesign of the structure of statewide services. In working partnership with Caroline Alan, The Canoe Group facilitated planning to develop the new program delivery model and then facilitated local stakeholder dialogues in Eugene to move the new strategies into pilot implementation.
Josephine Community Libraries (JCLI)
Working for Dianna Smiley, LLC, The Canoe Group is a primary partner on Smiley’s JCLI consulting team. The Canoe Group is providing membership and marketing services and consultation, including brand development, copywriting, staff/volunteer training, planning and leadership coaching.
Harmony Hill, a free cancer retreat center on Hood Canal, is The Canoe Group’s current pro bono client. After undertaking a founder transition, the new Executive Director and senior staff are working with The Canoe Group on development strategy planning as Harmony Hill addresses long-range sustainability issues.
Business for Culture and the Arts (BCA)
The Canoe Group provides transition design, recruitment and search services for non-profit organizations. The Canoe Group facilitated Board dialogue at BCA to develop vision alignment and hiring criteria for BCA’s new Executive Director. The Canoe Group then supported BCA’s Board Search Committee in the design and implementation of search, selection and interview processes, resulting in the successful hire of Deborah Edwards in January, 2012.
Oregon Legislative Administration History Gateway Implementation Services
The Canoe Group is providing consultation and services to Legislative Administration to support Phase One implementation of the History Gateway strategic plan, passed by the Oregon State Capitol Foundation in June, 2012 and by the Legislative Administration Committee (LAC) in September.
