When Lisa Phipps, Executive Director of Tillamook Estuaries Partnership (TEP) first contacted The Canoe Group, she explained her organization’s history: Founded as part of the National Estuary Project through the Clean Water Act, TEP works to conserve and restore the five Tillamook County estuaries and the watersheds that sustain them.

TEP is a model nonprofit organization for the 21st century, as it connects over 30 environmental nonprofits, federal, state and local agencies to an agenda of common goals. Working with the Partnership’s Board, The Canoe Group conducted key stakeholder research, then facilitated Board and staff strategic analysis and goal-setting to help refocus a shared vision for TEP’s future.
